FeeLedger is an independent reference for merchant payment-processing fee comparison. Compare merchant payment-processing fees — effective rates across Stripe, PayPal, Square, Adyen and more.

What we do

We compare the published merchant fees of 20 payment processors — Stripe, PayPal, Square, Adyen, Braintree, Checkout.com, Mollie, Worldpay, Authorize.net, Helcim, Stax, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy and more — by percentage rate, fixed fee, international surcharge, chargeback fee and pricing model, across 8 payment methods. We publish a page per processor, a page per payment method, head-to-head comparisons, rankings (cheapest for small business, high volume, lowest international and chargeback fees) and a free effective-rate calculator.

How we work

Every number is a dated snapshot taken from the processor's own pricing page (as of June 2026). We do not invent figures: processors that price on interchange-plus, subscription or Merchant-of-Record models are labeled "custom / quote-based" rather than given a fake blended rate. Anything we derive — an effective rate, a ranking, or a calculator total — is a transparent calculation over those published inputs, documented on our methodology page.

FeeLedger is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of the payment processors listed. Brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the services compared. The site is supported by advertising.
